Our journey begins in the coastal town of Lüderitz, Namibia, where my mother and uncles grew up surrounded by the rhythms of the sea and the legacy of a thriving lobster industry.
In this tight-knit community, lobster wasn’t the delicacy it is today — it was a way of life, woven into family traditions and a growing community. Similarly in Western Australia the lobster industry was also thriving with a similar species of spiny rock lobster – the Western Rock Lobster.
Inspired by this heritage, Ocean Gold was founded in Western Australia to honour that legacy and reimagine it for today’s gourmet market. As a food artisan, my passion lies in crafting buttery, chargrilled lobster flavours into shelf-stable, premium products that capture the essence of coastal indulgence — without compromise.
